The Anaheim Ducks fell short in their matchup against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night, losing by a score of 3-1. Despite a spirited comeback attempt in the second period, the Ducks were unable to overcome an early deficit.

The Ducks came alive in the second period, with Troy Terry and Adam Henrique creating scoring chances early. Their efforts paid off when Leo Carlson scored a highlight-reel goal, weaving through defenders and firing a shot past Seattle goalie Philipp Grubauer.
However, the Kraken responded quickly. Shane Wright, recently recalled from the AHL, scored twice in the second period, putting Seattle back in control. The Ducks had a chance to claw back into the game with a late power play, but were unable to capitalize.
The third period was a scoreless affair, with both teams tightening up defensively. The Ducks had their opportunities, but Grubauer stood tall in net for the Kraken, preserving the victory.
This loss extends the Ducks’ losing streak to three games. While they showed flashes of brilliance in the second period, they were unable to sustain the pressure and ultimately fell short. For the Kraken, this win marks a significant step forward, showcasing their ability to close out a close game. Shane Wright’s performance was particularly impressive, making a strong case for a permanent roster spot.
